SWIM BETWEEN THE FLAGS Pt.I
Presented as part of VCA’s Graduating Showcase 2019
A town hall in the middle of a street, in the middle of a town, in the middle of nowhere calls a meeting like no other. A meeting that may change the world.
The audience enter, eagerly taking their seats, reaching for tonight's agenda. The font? EB-Garamond Semi-Bold: impactful, unconventional, unanimously approved.
A gavel bangs. A microphoned voice looms. And so it begins.
SBTF Pt.1 explores the circularities and inefficiencies of bureaucracy. Satirising and exaggerating the tragic imperfections of governmental process. Challenging the assumption that communal decision-making is capable of large-scale change.
